The following are specifications for ads placed via our services.

Creative Execution Guidelines

Quantity

In order to be able to launch your campaign quickly and ensure that your campaign is launched within 2 business days of receipt we ask that you be mindful of our maximum creative execution guidelines. These are designed to provide flexibility and ensure we are able to launch all campaigns in a timely manner.

The above guidelines apply on a per-campaign basis and extend to any creative changes mid-campaign. If your creative needs surpass our current maximum creative executions, please reach out to your account team to discuss the specifics of your request.

Content Standards

  • Ads with a white background must include a distinct border to clearly identify where the page ends, and advertisement begins
  • Sponsor of the advertising message must be clearly identified
  • Landing pages must match the offer being made in the advertisement
  • Product claims, warranties, guarantees or other assurances must comply with applicable laws and regulations
  • Ad unit and landing page must have detailed disclosures as appropriate; in particular, full terms and conditions of the offer must be easily accessible on the landing page
  • Quantcast reserves the right to request additional changes to submitted ads that do not comply with content standards. For any ads that are not in compliance with content standard and not revised, Quantcast reserves the right to reject the creative execution.

HTML5 creatives are supported if they meet other requirements such as file size and ad server support.
Because of the variability in the format, we do require a live tag to test before approval in order to verify compatibility with our system.

Granting Fan Page Admin Access to Quantcast for Newsfeed Ads

  1. User with Admin access log into Facebook page
  2. Navigate to page for which ads will be run on FBX
  3. Click the Edit Page button at the top right
  4. From the drop down menu, click the Admin Roles button
  5. Enter Quantcast master account rtb-facebook@quantcast.com
  6. From the roles drop down select Advertiser
  7. Click Save
  8. Copy the current page URL
  9. Send the URL to your Client Services rep, along with creative assets (specs above)

Copy and Image Restrictions

  • Image cannot contain more than 20% text
  • Cannot start with punctuation
  • Cannot have duplicate consecutive punctuation characters with the exception of 3 periods
  • Words cannot be greater than 20 characters in length
  • Only 2 consecutive 1 character words are allowed
  • Cannot consist entirely of capital letters
  • Double spacing is not allowed
  • Illegal Characters: IPA Symbols, Diacritical Marks, Superscript and Subscript characters with the exception of TM and SM, and ^~_={}[]|<>

Best Practices

  • Include your business name or other key information in the headline
  • Use a simple, eye-catching image that speaks to your audience
  • Avoid logos unless your business is a very well-known brand
  • Include a call to action tell users what you want them to do
  • Keep the language simple, short and concise
  • Highlight any benefits, sales or similar specials that your business is offering
  • Send users to a relevant landing page

At this time Quantcast ads on Facebook do not support additional social network activity, such as likes or linking to an existing Facebook page.

Ad Choices

  • The Ad Choices icon is fully supported and is added by default to all campaign creatives, as a standard practice at no cost to the advertiser.
  • The icon measure 77×15 pixels and will be places on the upper right-hand corner of the creative.
